New trustees introduced were: Marion “Bo” Cail, McClain County mayoral rep replacing Glenn Berglan; Max Gallaway, Stephens County Conservation director replacing Jack Ketchum; and Loyd Kimbro, Jefferson county commissioner replacing Kenny Wall. Larry Jefferson, who was absent, is the new Comanche County minority rep replacing Annette Dawkins. Minutes of the December 20, 2007 board meeting and January 17 and February 21, 2008 executive committee meetings were approved on motion by Jack Hudman and second by Gene Overton. Those voting “aye” were Walling, Brown, Kirby, Hewes, Sutherlin, Hilbert, Dinger, Hudman, Hayes, Elliott, Overton, Parker, Kimbro, Johnson, Awtrey, Cail, Gray, Eisenhour, Sparks, Brown, Gallaway, Davis, Evaige, Wyatt, Challacombe and Guevara. The report on budget was given by Brian Churchman. Jim Vanzant discussed the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Plan and FY 09 Funding Plan. Both items require AAA advisory council and board of trustee’s approval each year. The bids have been scored by the AAA Council and on motion by Ron Dinger and second by Wanda Evaige the trustees approved the AAA Plan and F 09 Funding Plan. Those voting “aye” were Walling, Brown, Kirby, Hewes, Sutherlin, Hilbert, Dinger, Hudman, Hayes, Elliott, Overton, Parker, Kimbro, Johnson, Awtrey, Cail, Gray, Eisenhour, Sparks, Brown, Gallaway, Davis, Evaige, Wyatt, Challacombe and Guevara. David L. Taylor, manager of the Waurika Lake Master Conservancy District. gave a presentation on the water conservancy district and fielded questions. Gerald Hayes reported on the National Association of Development Organization’s annual Washington policy conference. Staff directors updated the trustees on their progress during the past month. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
