November is Family Caregiver Month

Grandmother touching childPresident Obama has declared November “National Family Caregivers Month, 2015.”  ASCOG Area Agency on Aging has partnered with MaddieLuke Support Services to provide caregiver services to those caring for loved ones in the ASCOG planning and services area.  Our services included intake screening and access to services, respite services and support groups.  For more information, contact Bethany Sullivan at 580.736.7036 or you can call the Oklahoma Senior Information Line at 1.800.211.2116.  Older Americans Act services are available for adults of any age who are caring for seniors aged 60 and older, or for seniors aged 55 and older who are caring for relative children.

ASCOG serves older adults in Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Grady, Jefferson, McClain, Stephens and Tillman counties in Oklahoma.  ASCOG makes no distinction on the grounds of race, color, sex, age, ancestry, national origin, religion, or disability.  A portion of the project costs are met by state and federal Older Americans Act funds from the Area Agency on Aging and Oklahoma Department of Human Services Aging Services Division.
