Copies of the application will be mailed upon request. Deadline for submitting REAP applications is Friday, Aug. 24, ‘07. To request a copy of the new application call Susie Lindsay at ASCOG.

REAP Changes: The FY2008 REAP application has several significant changes. The process for claiming points for completing a CIP has changed to correspond with what the Oklahoma Department of Commerce requires for its CDBG applications. Before CIP points can be claimed, the applicant must prioritize its future Capital Improvements projects. The form and instructions are included in the REAP application. Additionally, applicants can now apply for funds to complete a CIP and an update for their Code of Ordinances as part of an overall application. These are significant changes that are intended to help communities meet legal obligations as well as ensuring that they are eligible to claim maximum points when applying for a CDBG grant.

April is Fair Housing Month. All communities and counties are encouraged to complete their required Fair Housing resolution. For additional info, contact ASCOG’s community and economic development division.

Fire departments, as well as non-affiliated EMS organizations, that protect urban and suburban communities may now request more than one vehicle on the same application. -- 3. It is now possible for the same department to submit for the Vehicle Acquisition and Operations and Safety program grants; however, two separate applications should be used. -- 4. A department may also submit a third (separate) application in the Regional category during the same grant period. -- 5. All activity requests will be reviewed taking the applicant’s call volume and size of the population protected into consideration.
