Susie Lindsay joined ASCOG in November, 2006, working with the AAA, and later transferring to CED.  She goes out of her way to assist those who call or come to the office.  She maintains a very professional attitude and has developed a good rapport with the communities and businesses with which she comes in contact.
Rural Fire:Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and two legislators hosted a work shop in Oklahoma City Feb. 19 for fire departments, cities, and volunteers to provide knowledge for requesting aid and reimbursement after disasters.  After the ice storm, this should be very informative.
Departments that received 80/20 grants are now in full swing and will be used to purchase equipment or adding onto the existing buildings.  The additions will be for class rooms, rest rooms or truck bays.

Biosolid Removal and Beneficial Reuse Program:Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
ASCOG through the Biosolid Removal and Beneficial Reuse Program (BRBRP) removes biosolids from waste-water facilities and applies the material to land requiring remediation.  The waste is normally biosolids from a sewage treatment lagoon but any non-hazardous organic material could qualify for the program.  For more information contact Stan Rice at ASCOG.
