Division is involved in all levels and aspects of workforce development in South Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Area (SCOWIA). SCOWIA’s geographical area is the same as ASCOG—Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Grady, Jefferson, McClain, Stephens and Tillman Counties. Division performs the following functions:
· Staff for the South Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Board
· Business Services to area businesses as a partner in the South Central Oklahoma Business Service Team
· Job Seeker assistance to any area resident at the area’s four Workforce Oklahoma Centers
· Expanded services (Workforce Investment Act Intensive Services) for people interested in and able to pursue careers in high-demand occupations
· Assistance with costs of education or training programs (Workforce Investment Act Training Services)
