Association of South Central Oklahoma Governments > Divisions > Supportive Services

The ASCOG Supportive Services Division consists of two departments; The Area Agency on Aging provides funding for 33 senior nutrition centers which provide more then 1,800 noon meals 5 days each week and are the hub of many social activities for older persons. ASCOG AAA provides regional planning and development for senior services, information and referral, and a long term ombudsman program to advocate for the rights and quality of life for persons living in long term care facilities. The AAA helps organize advocacy for the concerns of older persons both through coordination with other service providers and volunteer organizations and through partial funding for Legal Aid of Western Oklahoma and the Center for Creative Living. ASCOG AAA serves the eight county ASCOG area.

ASCOG Managed Care Services, through the Advantage Program, provides case management services to frail persons 60 years of age or older, to help them maintain independence within their own homes. Staff assess needs, build an individual care plan, and provide advocacy, monitoring, or evaluation to ensure the older person’s needs are met. ASCOG Managed Care Services serves Caddo, Cotton, Comanche, Grady, Jefferson, Stephens, and Tillman counties.
