Cotton County Conservation District Burns Note:  The District constructed a new office building in Walters in 2003. Using locally generated funds, the District paid off their note in December – three and a half years early! Pictured in the “mortgage-burning” photo are Jack Hudman (conservation district director since 1961), Bobby White (district manager) , and “banker E.Z. Money, of the Concrete Heart Bank” portrayed by Stan Rice (in disguise), ASCOG director of environmental services. – Hudman is one of the original founders of ASCOG and is still on the board of trustees.
