Business services in the South Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Area are provided by a partnership. The partnership is comprised of organizations, institutions, agencies, and individuals that have knowledge, information, expertise, and access to resources which might assist current or potential area businesses in meeting their challenges. The Business Services Team in South Central Oklahoma is dedicated to assisting new, existing, or potential businesses in this area to become more profitable and thereby add wealth to this area. Business services in this area are tailored to meet the needs of existing or potential businesses. Examples of services that have been provided to businesses in the past are: · Assistance with federal or state grants to provide resources to train their workforce · Advertising and taking employment applications for a business expansion or relocation · Providing labor market information indicating availability of workers with identifiable skill sets, wage and hour information for some occupations, number of workers in a industry sector within a given mileage, labor force projections, and other information · Assistance with customized industry training · Financing assistance · Site location assistance · Recruiting hard to find employees · Information and training on new or soon to be released legislation The services listed above are only examples.
